Group Meeting 11-5

Points Discussed:
  • ·         Discussed the suggested outputs put forward by all group members
  • ·         Outlined which would be most appropriate for the consumer, the brand and those that align to current industry innovations
  • ·         Planning photoshoot – booking the studio, finding models, schedule for the shoot

Action for Next Meeting:

  • ·         Baring roles for the photoshoot in mind, prepare any props and visuals that may be required for a successful shoot

Group Meeting 11-5

Points Discussed:

  • Feedback from our formative assignment
  • Contact sheets
  • The Photo shoot- including planning the location,  contacting models and planning what will happen on the day.
  • The history of portraiture- how the modern day portrait is now the selfie and a discussion of what the future of this may be. As a group we discussed how there had been an emergent theme of using GIF's and videos instead of a still image as your profile picture on social media, so it would be sensible to suggest that this may be the future of portraiture.
  • Instagram could be a modern day contact sheet.
  • Playing around with the photo booth app to create our own contact sheets
  • keeping in mind the theme of gender in contemporary society
Planned roles for the Photo shoot:

  • Photographer- Lauren
  • Makeup Artist- Rebecca
  • Styling- Allana
  • Set- Katie
  • Creative director- Emily

Work for the next meeting:
As the next meeting will be the photo shoot, everyone is to plan how the day will go and create mood boards as a guide to how the images should look

Meeting with Tutors 12:45-1pm

A meeting with Jennifer, Zoe and Elizabeth enabled feedback from them for our Formative Submission Mood board.

After sharing all of our ideas it was suggested that we look into old fashioned contact sheets and portraiture, this is something that will be explored by each of the group members.
